In May 2018, Northeast Lakeview College was recognized as one of the 10 Most Admired Colleges and Universities to Watch in 2018. Institutions are recognized for student engagement, faculty-student ratio, teaching quality, educational and curricular facilities, events and cultural programs, career opportunities, ethical knowledge, and a wide variety of other factors that name an institution an admired one. These colleges and universities were recognized in “The Knowledge Review” publication. Northeast Lakeview College received this recognition along with one of its sister schools in the Alamo Colleges District, St. Philip’s College. Other Texas schools to make the list include Angelo State University, Parker University, and Western Texas College.

Northeast Lakeview College, established in 2007, is the newest of the five colleges in the Alamo Colleges District. A center for educational excellence, Northeast Lakeview College combines innovative classroom instruction with hands-on experience to provide exemplary enrichment opportunities for students and the community. Northeast Lakeview College serves over 5,000 students from northeast San Antonio and surrounding communities – including Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties.
