New VPAS

Dr. Laura E. Boyer was selected as the Vice President for Academic Success at Northeast Lakeview College following a hiring committee interview, meetings with various constituent groups, and open forums with the college community. She was approved by the Board of Trustees at the May 15 meeting. Dr. Boyer will begin her appointment at NLC on June 4.

Dr. Laura E. Boyer currently serves as the Dean of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and Strategic Planning for South Texas College and has 21 years of experience in Higher Education including 18 years in Academic Affairs, and 9 years as an adjunct faculty member. She has in-depth experience providing leadership for accreditation, instructional program development and compliance, course schedule management, learning outcomes assessment, and program review. Her educational background includes an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, a Master of Education in Adult Education from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, and a BA degree in Music and Psychology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Dr. Sanchez has an 18-year-old son, Morgan, and a 14-year-old daughter, Abby.
